Phirni

Ingredients to make Phirni

  • MILK-1 LITRE
  • rice-1/2 cup
  • sugar-1 cup
  • cardamom powder-1 tsp
  • Some almonds and pistachios

How to make Phirni

  1. Soak the rise in water for 10 minutes. After 10 minute Drain and grind the rice to a semi fine powder like rawa.
  2. Keep the ground rice aside
  3. Now heat milk in a heavy bottomed pan. When the milk reach to a boil than lower the flame and add the grounded rice and sugar in it slowly.
  4. Stir it consistently for at least 20 minutes or till it gets thick
  5. When it start getting thick switch off the gas. Pour it in a bowl and chill until serving time
  6. At the time of serving garnish with sliced almonds and pistachios
