ABOUT Clear Chicken Soup (Broth) RECIPE

As winters approach this is a must have soup for non vegetarian lovers! Like the book called "Chicken Soup for the Soul".

Ingredients Serving: 2

  1. Chicken 2 pieces (100 gms)
  2. Black peppercorns 4 - 5
  3. 2 slit green chillies
  4. 3 - 4 garlic cloves
  5. 1/2 inch ginger (optional)
  6. Salt to taste
  7. Egg - 1
  8. Water - 500 ml
  9. Just a drop of oil

Instructions

  1. In a deep pan add oil, garlic, ginger, pepper corns and Saute for 2 - 3 minutes.
  2. Add the chicken and keep sauteing for another 5 minutes. Add in the slit green chill and water and cover and let it come to a boil.
  3. If the chicken pieces you have used are good ( breast or leg) the you can shred them and add in the soup or else just strain properly.
  4. Take this liquid, add some more water, salt and put on gas. Beat one egg and wait for this liquid to come to a boil.
  5. While it begins to bubble slowly pour the beaten egg. Adjust salt and pepper and have it hot!
