ABOUT Cauliflower Keema Galette RECIPE

Awesome fusion dish where indian cauliflower keema is fused with western galette.

Ingredients Serving: 2

  1. For Galette Dough :
  2. 1 cup all purpose flour
  3. 1/2 tsp caster sugar
  4. 1/2 tsp Salt
  5. 3-4 tbsp ice cold water
  6. 2 tbsp chilled butter
  7. For Cauliflower Keema :
  8. 1 cup finely chopped cauliflower
  9. 1 small potato finely chopped
  10. 1 tbsp coriander powder
  11. 1 tsp red chilly powder
  12. salt as per taste
  13. 1/2 tsp turmeric powder
  14. 1/4 tsp sugar
  15. 1/4 tsp black pepper
  16. 1 tbsp oil
  17. 2 tbsp chopped onions
  18. For Garnish :
  19. few green coriander leaves

Instructions

  1. For Galette Dough :
  2. Mix flour salt and sugar in a bowl.
  3. Add cold butter and rub with fingers so that butter is nicely mixed with flour.
  4. Now add ice cold water and mix so that dough comes together.
  5. Wrap the dough in plastic wrap and refrigerate dough for 2-3 hours.
  6. For Cauliflower Keema :
  7. In a non stick pan add oil , keep the flame low .
  8. Add finely chopped cauliflower and potatoes and saute on medium flame for 5 mins.
  9. Cover the pan so the vegetables are cooked well.
  10. Check after 10 mins , remove the cover and add salt , coriander powder , red chilly powder , black pepper , turmeric and sugar.
  11. Saute for next 5-10 mins and then remove from flame and allow to cool.
  12. Assembly :
  13. Take dough from refrigerator and after 10-15 mins roll the dough in a circle.
  14. Transfer the rolled circle to greased and lined baking tray.
  15. Spread Cauliflower Keema in middle of the rolled circular base .
  16. Add chopped onions on top of the Cauliflower keema layer.
  17. Now fold the edges of the towards inside pleating it around the cauliflower keema layer.
  18. Brush the pleated circular edges of the galette with milk.
  19. Bake in preheated oven at 200 C for 30 - 40 mins or till the edges turn golden brown.
  20. Garnish with coriander leaves and serve hot.
