Ingredients Serving: 4

  1. Rice 1kg
  2. Chicken 750gm
  3. Oil 6 tbsp
  4. Red chilli powder - 2 tsp
  5. Turmeric Powder - 1 tsp
  6. Garam Masala powder - 2 tsp
  7. Onion [chopped] - 4
  8. Tomato - 4
  9. salt
  10. Coriander leaves [handful]
  11. Mint leaves [handful]
  12. green chillies 4

Instructions

  1. Soak rice for 30 minutes.
  2. Now heat a pan with oil. Add the chopped onion and saute till golden brown, then add the powdered masalas, salt and the chicken, mix well.
  3. Add chopped tomatoes and cook further, Cook until the chicken is almost done.
  4. Then add the soaked rice, required amount of water. Add coriander leaves, mint leaves and slit green chillies. Mix and cover the pan with the lid.
  5. cook for 15 minutes and switch off the flame. Let this sit for few minutes and then mix, serve hot with some raita on the side.
