Boiled potato 2
Green peas (optional)
Onion fine chopped 1
Green chilli 1
Fresh cilantro chopped 1/4 cup
Salt to taste
Red chilli powder 1/2 tsp
Trumeric powder 1 pinch
Garam masala 1/2 tsp
Aamchur powder 1/2 tsp OR fresh lemon juice 1 tsp
Chaat masala 1/4 tsp
Jeera powder 1/4 tsp
Corn flour/ Rice flour 1 1/2 tbsp OR poha ( dry roast and make a powder) OR breadcrumbs
Oil to shallow fry
Instructions
Boil potatoes until just cooked and let it cool down. Peel and grate or mash the potatoes in a mixing bowl. Add all the ingredients except oil. Mix everything together.
Divide the mixture to 5 equal parts. Take a portion of aloo tikki mixture and make a ball and gently fatten them into a round shape. Also u can make a roll of it. You can make as per you desire size and shape. (If it is very soft to handle
Heat a pan add refined oil and put the tikkis gently on the pan and shallow fry. Cook each side till its golden and crisp.Strain and remove on paper napkin.
Garnish and serve hot with green chutney / Imli chutney/ tomato ketchup / onions / green chilli.
