Ingredients Serving: 3

  1. Lady's finger 1/4 kg
  2. Jaggery 1/2 cup
  3. Salt 3/4 tsp
  4. Water 3 cup
  5. Tamarind 1 lemon size
  6. Green chilly 1
  7. Turmeric powder 1/8 tsp
  8. Curry leaves 1 string
  9. For temper... mustard seeds 1/2 tsp
  10. Red chilly 1
  11. Oil 1 tsp

Instructions

  1. Clean the lady's finger remove the top and bottom. Cut into small round pieces.
  2. Take the lemon sized tamarind, clean it and put in a cup of water squeeze well by using finger.
  3. Take a pan do the temper of mustard seeds and red chilly by adding a tsp of oil.
  4. When it starts to split, pour the tamarind juice and remaining water to the same pan.Let it boil.
  5. When it starts to boil, add jaggery, chopped green chilly and salt.
  6. Now add 1/8 tsp of turmeric powder.
  7. When it starts to boil add lady's finger pieces.
  8. Close the lid,let it be 3 minutes in high flame.
  9. Now open the lid and check it whether cooked or not.
  10. Yes. It is cooked. Now add curry leaves. Turn of the flame and serve along the rice.
