Ingredients Serving: 4

  1. Potatoes 2 (big)
  2. Flour 1 cup
  3. Cornflour 1/2 cup
  4. Salt according to taste
  5. Water 1/2 cup
  6. Oil for frying
  7. Onion 1 medium size
  8. Chopped capsicum 1 medium size
  9. Soya sauce 1tbsp
  10. Tomato sauce 1 tbsp
  11. Onion greens 1/2 cup
  12. Honey 1 tbsp
  13. Chopped garlic 1 tbsp
  14. Chopped ginger 1 tsp
  15. Ginger-garlic paste 1 tsp
  16. Cornflour 1 tsp mixed with 1/2 cup water
  17. Water for boiling potatoes

Instructions

  1. Wash, peel and cut potatoes length wise.
  2. Put potatoes into hot water with salt for 5 min. Drain and rinse with cold water. Keep aside
  3. Mix 1/2 cup flour 1/4 cup cornflour and 1 tbsp oil. Coat the potatoes. This is 1st coating. Again mix the above amount with 1/2 water. Coat the potatoes. This is 2nd coating.
  4. Fry the coated potatoes in hot oil until light golden brown. Do not over fry. When all potatoes are done again put the entire fried potatoes into oil. This time on low flame. Stir frequently. Drain and keep aside. Potatoes will become very crunchy.
  5. Heat a pan. Add 2 tbsp oil. Add ginger-garlic paste. Chopped onion, garlic, ginger. Stir for a min. Add chopped capsicum. Add cornflour mixer. Quickly add soya sauce, tomato sauce, salt. Stir for few min. Add honey. When the gravy become thick switch off the flame.
  6. Cool down. Now add the fried potatoes and coat all over.
  7. Sprinkle onion green and serve hot.
