Bottle gourd chutney is hot, sweet, sour and little spicy kind of dish. This chutney goes well with chapati, paratha, rice, dose, idli.
Wash the bottle gourd cleanly. In a vessel, add bottle gourd, tamarind and green chilies. Cook it well. Then keep aside for it to cool.
In a mixer, add grated coconut, all the above mentioned ingredients, salt and sugar. Grind all these to a fine paste.
Prepare a seasoning of mustered seeds, urad dal. When the mustered seeds splutters add curry leaves and hing.
Serve this with chapathi, dosa, rice, parata, idli...etc.
