  • potatoes-500 gms
  • Long yellow fryums(Bhungra)-100 gms
  • garlic cloves-15-20
  • Tomatoe-1(big)
  • oil-2 tbsp
  • cumin seeds-1 tsp
  • asafoetida-1 pinch
  • turmeric-1/2 tsp
  • Kashmiri red chilli powder-2 tbsp
  • Coriander cumin powder-1 tsp
  • salt

How to make Bhungra Bateta(Lasaniya Bateta)

  1. WASH AND BOIL THE POTATOES.
  2. THESE ARE CALLED BHUNGRA IN GUJRATI.FRY THEM IN HOT OIL.
  3. ALL FRYUMS ARE FRIED AND READY.
  4. NOW LETS PREPARE MASALA PASTE FOR LASANIYA BATATA.
  5. ADD 15-20 GARLIC CLOVES,1 TOMATOE AND DRY SPICES LIKE TURMERIC,KASHMIRI CHILLI POWDER AND CORIANDER CUMIN POWDER.
  6. ADD 2 BOILED POTATOES IN THIS PREPARED GARLIC PASTE.
  7. OUR GARLIC PASTE IS READY.
  8. TAKE 2 TBSP OIL IN A PAN.
  9. ADD CUMIN SEEDS AND ASAFOETIDA.
  10. NOW ADD THE GARLIC PASTE.
  11. SAUTE PEOPERLY TILL OIL RELEASES FROM THIS MASALA.
  12. PASTE IS COOKED.
  13. ADD 2 TO 3 TBSP OF WATER.
  14. WHEN THIS STARTS BOILING ADD CHOPPED POTATOES.
  15. MIX AND COOK FOR A MINUTE.
