Ingredients Serving: 5

  1. Chopped Bottle gourd half cup
  2. grated coconut 3 tbsp
  3. jaggery half cup
  4. cardamom powder 1 tbsp
  5. water 1 cup
  6. dry fruits any, here I used cashew nuts 4 to 5
  7. ghee 3 tbsp


  1. In a vessel, boil chopped bottle gourd by adding water until bottle gourd finely cooked.
  2. Then add jagery, let this melt completely in boiled bottle gourd.
  3. In a mixer, grind grated coconut finely by adding water.
  4. Add this grind mixture to our already cooked bottle gourd.
  5. Cook all these until the bubbles come by continuous stirring.
  6. Now add cardamom powder to this, mix well.
  7. Now in a tava, add ghee. To this add cashew nuts, fry well. Add this to payasa.
  8. Now our yummy bottle gourd payasa or pudding ready to serve.
