Ingredients Serving: 5

  1. Paneer cubes (cottege cheese) -2 1/2 cup
  2. Butter -1tbsp
  3. Oil -1 tbsp
  4. Sliced onions -1 cup
  5. Milk -1/2 cup
  6. Garam masala -1 1/2tsp
  7. To be ground into a thick paste(using 2 tbsp of water
  8. Chopped coriander (Dhania) -2 cups
  9. Chopped mint leaves (Purina) - 1/2 cup
  10. Roughly chopped green chilies - 1tbsp
  11. ginger (adrak) -1/2 inch piece
  12. Broken cashewnuts ( kiju) -1/4 cup
  13. Curd (dahi) - 1/4 cup
  14. Garlic clove (lehsun) -2
  15. Lemon juice -1tbsp
  16. Salt to taste
  17. For the garnish ( a few onions rings)

Instructions

  1. combine the paneer along with the marinade in a deep bowl, toss gently and keep aside for 10 to 15 minutes.
  2. heat the butter and oil in a non stick pan, add the onions and saute on a medium flame for 2 to 3 minutes.
  3. add the marinated paneer, milk, garam masala and little salt, mix gently and cook on a medium flame for 2 minutes while stirring occasionally.
  4. Garnish with onions rings and serve hot with paratha or butter naan.
