Ingredients Serving: 4

  1. rice -3 cup
  2. Urad dal -1cup
  3. Poha -1/2 cup
  4. Fenugreek seed -1tbsp


  1. Soak rice and poha in bowl for 4 ton 5 hrs or overnight
  2. In another bowl soak urad Dal and fenugreek seedsfor 4-5 hrs or overnight n drain well
  3. Combine the rice, urad dal poha , fenugreek seeds and blend in a mixer to a smooth paste using approx. 1 ½ cups of water to get a batter of thick pouring consistency.
  4. Add the salt and mix well
  5. Leave it for frementation 4-5 hrs in hot / warm places
  6. Heat a non-stick tava and then Pour a ladleful of the batter on it and spread it in a circular motion to make a thin circle.
  7. Smear amul butter over it and along the edges and cook on a medium flame till the dosa turns golden brown in colour and crisp.
  8. Repeat with the remaining batter Serve with sambhar and coconut chutney or tomato sauce
