ABOUT Dalia veggies balls RECIPE

Dalia is low in cholesterol and fat, and is a good source of carbs, iron and fiber. These balls are easy to make and delicious in taste. These are healthy because it is made with loads of veggies. And I have used less Oil. So health conscious people can eat it in breakfast or dinner.

Ingredients Serving: 5

  1. Dalia (broken wheat) 1 cup
  2. Carrots grated 1/2 cup
  3. Cabbage shredded 1/2 cup
  4. Beetroot 1 shredded
  5. Potatoes Boiled 4
  6. Green chilies 2 finely chopped
  7. Mango powder 1 tsp
  8. Red chilli powder 1 tsp
  9. Roasted peanuts crushed 2 tbsp
  10. Bread crumbs 1/4 cup
  11. Salt to taste
  12. Oil for shallow fry

Instructions

  1. Roast Dalia without oil till its color changes to light brown. Soak it for two hours in warm water. Now remove excess water & squeeze it.
  2. Combine all ingredients except oil and make a dough.
  3. Form round shape lemon size balls
  4. Heat appe pan on medium flame. Pour oil in sections. Place balls one by one in each section. Roast it until golden brown.
  5. Once done flip it & roast another side. Flame should be slow.
  6. Dalia veggies balls are ready to serve. Enjoy with tomato sauce or with green chutney.
