ABOUT Spaghetti Bolognese RECIPE

A classic Italian favourite! A hearty homemade sauce with minced meat is great for family or friends at a dinner table.

Ingredients Serving: 4

  1. 350g Spaghetti Pasta
  2. 500g Minced Beef/mutton/chicken
  3. 1 cup Beef/chicken stock
  4. 400g Tomato chopped
  5. 2 Onions chopped
  6. 90g Mushrooms
  7. 1 tsp Oregano
  8. 1 tbsp Tomato ketchup
  9. 1tbsp Worcestershire sauce
  10. 1 tbsp Parmesan Cheese (grated)
  11. 2 tbsp Olive Oil
  12. Sal to taste


  1. Cook pasta in a large saucepan of boiling salted waterwith 1 tbsp of Olive oil, until tender. Drain.
  2. Heat oil in a large saucepan. Add onion, carrot, celery and garlic, stir until onions are softened.
  3. Add minced beef and cook until browned.
  4. Add tomatoes, oregano, nutmeg , tomato ketchup and 1/2 cup cold water. Bring to the boil.
  5. Reduce heat to low. Simmer for 20 to 30 minutes until sauce thickens.
  6. Season with salt and pepper.
  7. Divide pasta among serving bowls. Pour over desired amount of sauce.
  8. Serve topped with cheese.
