ABOUT BANANA WALNUT CAKE RECIPE

HEALTHIER VERSION OF A CAKE. BANANA AND WALNUTS BOTH ARE VERY BENEFICIAL FOR HEALTH. USED WHOLE WHEAT FLOUR AND JAGGERY POWDER TO MAKE IT MORE HEALTHY

Ingredients Serving: 4

  1. Whole wheat flour - 1 1/2 cup
  2. Whole wheat flour - 1 1/2 cup
  3. Apple juice - 1 cup
  4. Walnuts 18-20
  5. Curd 1/4 cup
  6. Banana 2 mashed
  7. Baking soda 1 tbsp
  8. Baking powder 1 tbsp
  9. Oil 2-3 tbsp

Instructions

  1. Soak half of the chopped walnuts in apple juice for 2 hours
  2. Take the mashed banana and add milk in it and whisk it properly
  3. Mix wheat flour, baking soda, baking powder, jaggery powder in a big bowl
  4. Strain the soaked walnuts and keep aside
  5. Add 1 tbsp of wheat flour in it and mix well
  6. Now add curd and oil in flour mixture
  7. Slowly add banana mixture in it so that no lumps are formed.
  8. Add the flour tossed walnuts in the mixture and mix well.
  9. Grease the aluminium mould and pour the batter in it.
  10. Preheat the oven at 150 degrees C for 7-8 minutes
  11. Bake the cake for 35-40 minutes in oven at 150 degree
  12. It would rise almost 1.5 times to its actual size.
  13. Take out when it clears the tester check
  14. Let it get cold. remove from the pan
  15. Garnish with walnuts
  16. Cut in slices and serve
