ABOUT Pizza basket RECIPE

Pizza basket is a healthy twist to otherwise unhealthy everyone's favorite fast food. Replaced APF pizza base with multi grain flour. Also a quick finger food. In precise it's a combination of Indian 'muthia' and Italian pizza.

Ingredients Serving: 5

  1. For dough ::
  2. Gram flour 6 tbsp
  3. Multi grain flour 3 tbsp
  4. Bottle guard grated 1 cup
  5. salt 1 tesp
  6. ginger chilli paste 1 tedp
  7. turmeric powder 1/4 tesp
  8. Baking soda 1/6 tesp
  9. lemon juice 1 tbsp
  10. curd 1 tbsp
  11. oil 1 tbsp
  12. For Filling ::
  13. onion chopped 2 tbsp
  14. capsicum chopped 2 tbsp
  15. corn kernels boiled 1 tbsp
  16. mushroom chopped 1 tbsp
  17. oil 1 tbsp
  18. Pizza sauce 2 tbsp
  19. Ketchup 2 tbsp
  20. salt 1/2 tesp
  21. Black pepper powder 1/4 tesp
  22. Processed cheese 50 gms
  23. Milk 2 tbsp
  24. cornflour 1 tesp

Instructions

  1. In a bowl mix together all dough ingredients. Knead into a very soft dough.
  2. Grease idli moulds. Line them with prepared dough leaving cavity in centre.
  3. Steam in microwave for 5 minutes or on cook top for 20 minutes.
  4. Cool and remove from moulds. Baskets are ready.
  5. For filling heat oil in a pan. Saute finely chopped onions.
  6. Add capsicum, corn kernels and mushrooms. Saute well.
  7. Add salt, black pepper, Pizza sauce and ketchup. Mix well.
  8. Add grated cheese. Mix.
  9. Dissolve cornflour in milk and add to cooking matter. Cook well till thicken .
  10. Fill baskets with prepared filling and bake for about 4 minutes.
  11. Top with grated processed cheese and serve.
