Cabbage fritters are perfect on a rainy day with a hot cup of tea.

Ingredients Serving: 4

  1. Cabbage- 1 cup cut into thin lengthwise strips
  2. Onion-1
  3. Besan flour-1 cup
  4. Salt- to taste
  5. Chilli powder- little
  6. Ginger- finely chopped of small piece
  7. Crushed coriander seeds-1 tsp
  8. Oil- to deep fry
  9. Water- sufficient to make a thick batter
  10. Rice flour-1 tbsp( optional) - for extra crunchy effect

Instructions

  1. Cut cabbage and onion into thin strips and add it into a bowl.
  2. Add besan flour, salt, chilli powder, rice flour, crushed coriander seeds into the bowl and mix well.
  3. Add little by little water and make it a thick batter
  4. Heat oil in a wok and when it reaches smoking hot, add small amount of batter into oil till it gets a nice golden colour on both sides and when done transfer it into paper towel and serve hot.
