ABOUT Upma RECIPE

Upma is a popular breakfast dish in India..I'm sharing my own version here.

Ingredients Serving: 2

  1. 1/2 cup rava roasted
  2. 1 1/2 tbsp oil + ghee mix
  3. ¼ tsp mustard
  4. 1/8 tsp cumin
  5. 1 tsp channa dal
  6. 1 tsp urad dal
  7. 7-8 cashews halved
  8. Few curry leaves
  9. 1 chopped onion
  10. 2 green chili slit
  11. 1 1/2 cups water
  12. 1 tbsp lemon juice
  13. For Garnish:
  14. Kismis 3-4
  15. Green chutney
  16. tomato Catchup
  17. Chopped coriender handful

Instructions

  1. Add oil to the pan, add urad dal, channa dal, mustard, cumin and cashews. Fry until the dals turn golden. Add onions, curry leaves and green chili. Saute for 2 mins.
  2. Pour water and add salt to taste Now bring the water to a boil..Add roasted rava and lemon juice and stri everything once to check any lumps
  3. Cover and cook on low flame for 2 -3 minutes.switch of the flame
  4. Garnish with kismis, green chutney,Tomato Catchup.
