Instant rice flour chakli can be prepared very easily and quickly. It's very tasty, healthy, gluten- free pand also the all time favourite snack for everyone.

Ingredients Serving: 10

  1. Rice flour 3 cups
  2. Urad dal half cup
  3. Roasted channa dal 1 cup
  4. Butter 50gms
  5. Cumin seeds 2 tbsp
  6. Linseed 1 tbsp
  7. Salt to taste
  8. Red chili powder 1 tbsp
  9. Ajawan 1 tbsp
  10. Water approx. 2 cups
  11. Refined oil for deep fry

Instructions

  1. In a tawa, fry the urad dal till the raw smell of the urad dal goes out. Thenafter keep aside to cool.
  2. In the same tawa put rice flour. Give a stir for 2 mins.
  3. In a mixer, put urad dal. Make a fine powder of it. Take it out from the jar. Similarly grind roasted Channa dal to a fine powder.
  4. Boil water in a vessel. While boiling add butter. So that butter melts and dissolved in water very easily. Switch off the flame.
  5. Now take a mixing bowl. To this add rice flour, powdered urad dal, chana dal, linseed, Red chilli powder, ajawan.
  6. Now add boiled water with butter to this mixing bowl. Knead all these ingredients very nicely. Now add salt as per your taste. While kneading keep in mind that dough should be nither too hard nor too smooth.
  7. Meanwhile heat refined oil in a kadai.
  8. Take a chakli mould. Fill a small portion of dough into this. Press it with your hand circularly on a parchment paper.( or on a wet cloth)
  9. Check whether the oil is hot or not.
  10. Now drop one by one chaklies into the hot oil. Deep fry nicely by flipping both the sides, until the chaklies will become golden in colour.
  11. Now place chaklies on a tissue paper.
  12. Serve hot, spicy, smooth chakli instantly.
