ABOUT Millet Thalipittu. RECIPE

Millet thalipittu is perfect for breakfast. It's a healthy, light and also very delicious.

Ingredients Serving: 3

  1. millet flour 2 cups
  2. onions chopped half cup
  3. cucumber finely chopped half cup
  4. coriander leaves little
  5. Curry leaves little
  6. sugar 1 tbsp
  7. Green chillies chopped 1
  8. salt to taste
  9. Refined oil or ghee or butter 1/4 cup

Instructions

  1. In a mixing bowl, put chopped Cucumber, chopped Onions, chopped greenchilies, coriander leaves , curry leaves, sugar.
  2. Now add Millet flour to this. Add salt as per your taste. Mix all these ingredients thoroughly.
  3. The moisture content in the cucumber and onions is enough to knead the thalipittu dough. So no need to add extra water.
  4. Prepare a little hard dough.
  5. Heat a skillet. Sprinkle oil or butter or ghee on this.
  6. Now take a small portion of our millet dough. Place it on the skillet. Spread it circularly by tapping with your hand.
  7. Sprinkle ghee or butter or refined oil all over the thalipittu.
  8. Flip it on another side. Spread oil or ghee or butter on this side also. Cook both the sides well.
  9. Now the millet thalipittu is ready to serve.
  10. Serve hot millet flour thalipittu with Chutney or butter or ghee. Enjoy.
