Ingredients Serving: 4

  1. 200 gms of maida
  2. 100 gms of sugar
  3. 1 tbspn oil for dough
  4. 1 tspn soda bicarb
  5. 1 tspn of salt
  6. Water as needed
  7. Oil for Deep frying

Instructions

  1. MIX 2OO GMS FLOUR, 1 TSP BAKING SODA & 1 TSP SALT
  2. ADD 1 TBSP OIL
  3. ADD SUFFICIENT WATER & KNEAD INTO A DOUGH
  4. REST THE DOUGH FOR 15 MINS
  5. TAKE SOME DOUGH & ROLL INTO A THICK PARANTHA
  6. CUT INTO THIN PIECES LENGTHWISE & PLACE ON A FLOUR DUSTED PLATE
  7. DEEP FRY IN HOT OIL ON MEDIUM HEAT
  8. REMOVE FROM HEAT WHEN GOLDEN BROWN & CRISP
  9. ADD THEM TO HOT SUGAR SYRUP OF 'ONE STRING' CONSISTENCY
  10. STIR GENTLY TILL THE SUGAR CRYSTALISES ON TOP
  11. REMOVE FROM HEAT WHEN DONE, COOL & STORE IN AN AIR TIGHT BOX
