Oats idli

Ingredients to make Oats idli

  • curd 1/2 cup
  • Oats(powder) 1 cup
  • Suji 1 cup
  • water 1+1/4cup
  • Pinch hing
  • cumin 1 tsp
  • mustard 1 tsp
  • curry leaves 5 to 10
  • Urad daal 1 tsp
  • Hana daal 1 tsp
  • Arhar daal 1 tsp
  • baking soda 1 tsp
  • Eno 1 sachet
  • oil 1 tbsp

How to make Oats idli

  1. Take a pan add oil mustard cumin curry leaves hing.Then add daals and stir fry till light golden brown.
  2. Add suji/semolina/rava into pan and stir fry..let it cool aside..
  3. In a bowl add curd water and above mixture.make a thick consistency like a idli batter.
  4. Heat the steamer with water.grease idli plates with oil..
  5. When steamer starts boiling add eno and baking soda in the batter..
  6. Pour the batter into idli plates and place it in the steamer..let it cook for 12 to 15 min.
  7. Switch off the flame...let the steamer be cool...remove them from knife..
  8. Serve hot oats idli with chutney and sambhar.
