ABOUT Beaten rice (pauva) dhokla RECIPE

These dhoklas are very quick &easy to make,without requiring any grinding or fermenting,serve them hot with green chutney & tea

Ingredients Serving: 4

  1. For dhokla :-
  2. 1 cup milk
  3. 1 tsp suger
  4. 2 cup beaten rice
  5. 1 tsp crushed green chillies
  6. 1tsp garam masala
  7. 1/2 tsp turmeric powder
  8. 1/2 lemon
  9. Salt to taste
  10. For tempering :-
  11. 2 tbs oil
  12. 1 tsp mustard seeds
  13. For garnising :-
  14. Green chopped coriander

Instructions

  1. Take milk in pan, 2 .add suger & turmeric powder in it, & Boil it
  2. Add the washed & drained beaten rice
  3. Add crushed green chillies , garam masala & salt,
  4. Mix well & cooked on slow flame for 2 minute till it absorbed the milk, 6 .Add lemon & mix well
  5. Pour the beaten rice mix into a greased thali,
  6. For tempering:-
  7. Heat oil in small pan & add mustard seeds,when the seeds creckle,flame off
  8. Pour this tempering all over the dhokla & spread it, Garnish with chopped coriander.
  9. Serve with green chutney and tometo ketchup.
