ABOUT Vegetable Puffs RECIPE

Ingredients Serving: 5

  1. flour 100 gms
  2. Sugar 5 gms
  3. Puff Margarine 50 gms
  4. Water 60 ml
  5. 1 whole egg (optional)
  6. Any vegetable stuffings
  7. Salt as per taste

Instructions

  1. Sieve the flour. Dissolve sugar and salt in the required quantity of water.
  2. Add 5% fat for kneading in flour and start kneading till it reaches dough consistency.
  3. Rest the dough covered in wet cloth for 20 minutes for setting.
  4. Roll the dough into rectangular shape of even thickness and apply 25 grams margarine for folding on the entire rolled sheet.
  5. Now using cut and fold method and rest for 20 minutes. Now again repeat the above 2 steps.
  6. Finally roll the sheet to an even thickness into a rectangular shape and cut into vertically and horizontally strips.
  7. Arrange the prepared stuffing in the center of each strip and fold slightly without pressing on top.
  8. Place all the puff pastries on the baking trays and spray sufficient water. Brush with one whole lightly whisked egg on top.
  9. Bake at 200 degree centigrade for 20 to 30 minutes.
