ABOUT Pazham Pori RECIPE

Pazham Pori is a snack from Kerala, which is one of my all time favorites. It is a made up of ripe 'Nendran' bananas. It is a lovely snack for evening, Your kids will also love it.

Ingredients Serving: 3

  1. Well riped Nendran bananas - 2
  2. All purpose flour/Maida - 1 cup
  3. Sugar - 1 tsp
  4. Elachi powder(Optional) - for flavor
  5. Salt to taste
  6. Oil for frying

Instructions

  1. Peel the bananas and slice them lengthwise as shown in the picture. The slices should not be too thin. You should be able to dip it in the batter and fry. When you eat, you will get a nice bite of it.
  2. Take a large mixing bowl, add all the ingredients for the batter. Make the batter by adding water in small portions. The consistency of the batter should be such that you should be able to dip the sliced bananas well in it before frying.
  3. Heat the oil in a wide pan.
  4. Dip the sliced bananas in the batter and drop to the oil carefully. Fry them in medium flame.
  5. Serve with hot tea :)
