Ingredients Serving: 6

  1. flour 11/2 cups
  2. cornflour 1/2 cup
  3. Icing sugar 1/2 cup
  4. butter 1 cup
  5. cardamom powder 1/2 teaspoon
  6. Vanilla extract - 1/4 teaspoon


  1. The butter must be at room temperature.
  2. Whisk butter and icing sugar till its fluffy.
  3. Add vanilla extract as well and whisk again.
  4. Sieve cornflour, cardamom powder and flour together into the butter mixture. Fold in to forms dough.
  5. Make small roundels of the dough and place them on a tray lined with butter paper.
  6. Chill the trays with dough roundels in the fridge for 1 hour.
  7. Bake them at 170℃ , in a preheated oven for 14-17 minutes or till the sides are little brown. Cool for 5 minutes and dust icing sugar on top. ready to serve.
