ABOUT Matcha roll cake with red beans RECIPE

Matcha is a special Japanese green tea,and one of my favourite ingredients for dessert.

Ingredients Serving: 3

  1. Egg yolks 3
  2. Egg Whites 3
  3. Sugar 1/2cup
  4. Cake flour 1 cup
  5. Matcha powder(green tea) 2 tablespoons
  6. Melted butter 3 tablespoons
  7. Whipped cream 1 cup
  8. Sugar 2 tablespoons
  9. Canned red beans 1/2 cup

Instructions

  1. To make filling : Take cream and sugar in a bowl whip it until creamy and fluffy,keep this mixture in refrigerator for an hour.
  2. Preheat oven at 200°c .
  3. To make cake : Beat egg white with half the sugar until stiff.In another bowl beat egg yolks with remaining sugar and beat untill it becomes thick.
  4. Now fold the egg white mixture into egg yolk mixture.
  5. Then take cake flour and melted butter,and fold it into the egg mixture
  6. Now take flat rectangular baking pan and grease it , pour cake batter,add some red beans and bake for 10-12 mins(baking pan should be flat and wide)
  7. Take it out of the oven and allow it to cool for 10 mins.
  8. Transfer the cake to a parchment paper spread whipped cream and sugar mixture and red bean evenly.
  9. Start rolling the cake from one end and once it is firmly rolled up wrap it and refrigerate for atleast an hour before serving.
