ABOUT mousse cheesecake RECIPE

A unique blend of mousse and cheesecake which tingles the tastebuds.

Ingredients Serving: 5

  1. 150 gms graham cookies crushed/any digestive biscuits
  2. 2tbsp cocoa powder
  3. 4 tbsp melted butter
  4. 2 tbsp sugar+1/2 cup for filling
  5. 200 grams cream cheese/hung curd
  6. 1 cup heavy cream + 1/2 cup for topping
  7. 150 grams semisweet/bittersweet chocolate+ 100 grams for topping
  8. 1/2 tbsp gelatin
  9. 2 tbsp water
  10. 1/2 tsp Vanilla extract

Instructions

  1. First prepare the base- mix cocoa powder,crushed cookies,sugar and melted butter.
  2. Place this mixture in 8" baking tray and freeze it till the filling is ready.
  3. Now the filling- microwave water and gelatin till both are mixed well.
  4. Microwave the chocolate too and let it cool.
  5. Mix gelatin water with the chocolate and vanilla extract.add in the heavy cream too.
  6. In another bowl whip cream cheese with sugar until smooth and mix the chocolate mixture carefully..do not overmix.
  7. Pour this mixture over the base of the cheesecake and freeze it for at least 4 hours.
  8. For the topping- mix the melted chocolate with heavy cream till peaks form and pour it over the filling of cheesecake.
  9. Let it form its own design and then freeze it till serving time.
