Ingredients Serving: 6

  1. Brownie Batter-
  2. All-purpose flour 1/4 cup
  3. Salt 1/4 teaspoon
  4. Cocoa Powder 1/3 cup
  5. Melted butter 1/3 cup
  6. Castor sugar 1/2 cup
  7. Large egg 1
  8. Vanilla extract 1/2 teaspoon
  9. Cookie dough-
  10. All-purpose flour 2/3 cup
  11. Baking Soda 1/8 teaspoon
  12. Salt a pinch
  13. Butter (softened) 1/4 cup
  14. Castor sugar 1/2 cup
  15. Large egg 1
  16. Vanilla extract 1 teaspoon
  17. Dark chocolate chips 1/3 cup

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 180 degrees C. Grease the sides of one 9 inch round pan. Dust with flour. Line the bottom with parchment paper
  2. For Brownie Batter-
  3. Whisk together flour and salt. Keep aside.
  4. In a large bowl, mix butter and sugar. Add cocoa powder. Stir well so that there are no lumps.
  5. Beat in the egg. Mix. Add vanilla extract and stir well.
  6. Add flour mix in two shifts. Stir well. You will get a very shiny and silky brownie batter.
  7. For Cookie Dough-
  8. Whisk together first three ingredients in a large bowl. Keep aside.
  9. Beat butter and sugar until light and creamy.
  10. Beat in egg. Mix. Add vanilla extract.
  11. Add flour mix in two shifts and mix till well incorporated. Fold in half of the chocolate chips into the batter. Cookie dough will be thick.
  12. Assembling -
  13. Pour the brownie batter into the prepared pan. Level the top with the back of a spoon.
  14. Now add cookie dough with a ladle. Level the top. Sprinkle the remaining chocolate chips on top.
  15. Bake for about 30 minutes or until the cookie dough turns golden and pulls away from the sides.
  16. Cool in the pan for 10 minutes. Slice and serve with chocolate sauce or ice cream.
