ABOUT Crispy Chaklis RECIPE

A very easy recipe to make, these light and crisp chaklis go perfectly well with your evening cup of tea.

Ingredients Serving: 10

  1. 250 gms all purpose flour/ maida
  2. 1 tablespoon ghee
  3. Salt to taste
  4. water for dough

Instructions

  1. Tie the maida in a clean muslin cloth and steam for 10 minutes. Cool and grind in a mixer-grinder to make a fine powder.
  2. Melt the ghee and add to the Maida.
  3. Mix the salt in water and use this water to make a soft dough.
  4. Take a chakli maker and shape chaklis on butter paper.
  5. Deep fry till golden brown. Store in an airtight container when cooled.
