Ingredients Serving: 4

  1. All purpose flour - 3/4 cup
  2. Baking powder -1 teaspoon
  3. Vanilla custard powder - 1 tablespoon
  4. Butter - 100 gms /1/2 cup
  5. Sugar - 3/4 cup
  6. Eggs - 2
  7. Grated lemon zest - 1 teaspoon
  8. Lemon juice - 1 teaspoon

Instructions

  1. Sieve all purpose flour / maida and baking powder together.
  2. Take a mixing bowl add butter and sugar and mix until creamy and fluffy.
  3. Beat the egg and add it.
  4. Add all purpose flour/ maida and baking powder and mix well.
  5. Add grated lemon zest in it.
  6. Add lemon juice and mix well.
  7. Preheat oven to 150 degree c.
  8. Grease and dust with flour a 9 inch round baking cake pans.
  9. Pour the batter into dish.
  10. Bake for 20 mins. in the preheat oven.
  11. Now the lemon cake is ready.
  12. Check by inserting a knife, if it comes out clear it done.
  13. Lemon Cake is ready to serve.
