This is Gujarati dish. Most of Gujaratis make this dish on Diwali

Ingredients Serving: 8

  1. All purpose flour/plain flour/maida 2 cups
  2. Besan/Gram flour 1 cup
  3. Crushed green chilli and ginger 1 tablespoon
  4. Red chilli powder 1 teaspoon
  5. turmeric powder 1/2 teaspoon
  6. Sesame seeds 1 tablespoon
  7. Hot ghee 3 tablespoon
  8. salt to taste
  9. Ingredients for Sprinkling masala:
  10. Black salt 1 teaspoon
  11. amchur powder 1 teaspoon
  12. Red chilli powder 1 teaspoon


  1. Sieve plain flour and Besan and add them in a bowl
  2. Add crushed chilli and ginger, red chilli powder, turmeric power, sesame seeds, salt and ghee and mix properly
  3. Knead stiff dough with help of warm water
  4. Add 1 teaspoon of oil and knead it for 2 minutes. Cover with lid and keep aside for 30 minutes
  5. Divide the dough into equal portions
  6. Take one portion of dough and roll it into thin round shape
  7. Cut it into strip.
  8. Heat oil on medium heat and place few strips of rolled chorafali in it as fry them till crispy
  9. Remove them on absorbent paper and sprinkle masala on it
  10. Let them cool down completely and store them in an airtight container
