ABOUT PILLOW CAKE WITH EDIBLE LACE RECIPE

This cake is in the flavour of vanilla with homemade edible lace and fondant with pearls

Ingredients Serving: 8

  1. Wheat flour 1 cup
  2. Curd 1/2 cup
  3. Milk 1/2 cup
  4. Oil 1/2 cup
  5. Sugar 1 cup
  6. Baking soda 1 teaspoon
  7. Vanilla essence 1 teaspoon
  8. For edible lace
  9. Boiling water 1/2 cup
  10. Tylose powder 1 tablespoon
  11. Cornstarch 2 tablespoon
  12. Icing sugar 1 tablespoon
  13. Liquid glucose 1/2 teaspoon
  14. Any food color of your choice
  15. Marshmallow fondant

Instructions

  1. Whisk curd milk oil and sugar in a bowl
  2. Now seive wheat flour with baking soda
  3. Add maida in curd mixture
  4. Add essence and 1 drop of blue colour whisk it without lumps
  5. Now preheat oven in 180℃ for 5 minute
  6. Pour the batter in square mould
  7. Bake it for 45 min.
  8. For lace
  9. Mix tylose powder with 1 tspn of hot water and set a side till it translucent
  10. Now add cornstarch glucose and icing sugar and add drop of water and colour of ur choice to make thick and lump free paste
  11. Spread the mixture in lace mould
  12. And leave it for 6 hrs in room temperature
  13. When cake is ready demould it and give the shape of pillow
  14. Now stick fondant strips with help of water edible pearls and laces too
  15. It's ready to serve
