ABOUT Caramelised semolina halwa RECIPE

It's a very quick recipe which got a very unique taste as compared to regular sooji halwa.

Ingredients Serving: 3

  1. Semolina 1 cup
  2. Ghee 3 tablespoon
  3. Sugar/jaggery 1/2 cup
  4. Cardamom powder 1 teaspoon
  5. Water 1 Cup
  6. Handful of nuts
  7. Pinch of salt

Instructions

  1. Take a bowl, mix semolina and water, keep aside.
  2. Next, take a wok, put 3 tablespoon of ghee into it . Then add the sugar.
  3. When the sugar changes it's colour or caramelised, add the soaked semolina directly to it.
  4. Finally, add cardamom powder,salt and keep stirring till all the water evaporates.
  5. Switch off the gas and garnish with nuts(cashew,almonds or pistachios). Serve hot.
