Ingredients to make Lal chamcham | Bengali chamcham

  • Chana |cottage cheese--1cup
  • maida --- 1teaspoon
  • Rawa|semolina--1teaspoon
  • sugar--1teapoon
  • For sugar syrup
  • sugar--1 cup
  • Watet--- 2 cup
  • Caramel syrup---1/2 cup
  • cardamom---1-2

How to make Lal chamcham | Bengali chamcham

  1. CHENA OR COTTAGE CHEESE --1 CUPMAIDA ---1 TSP RAWA | SEMOLINA ---1 TSP SUGAR - 1TSP
  2. Combine all and knead soft and smooth chena dough
  3. Knead soft and dough like this
  4. Take small portion and roll it like celendrical shape
  5. Make sugar syrup with 1 cup , 2 cup water and a cardamom...stir it to dissolve sugar
  6. When sugar starts to boiling ,add all chena cylinder one by one
  7. Now cover the pan and close the hole of lid with paper... keep boilng it on high flame for 10 minutes
  8. Chamcham is boiling for last 10 minutes on high flame
  9. Now adding 1/2 cup caramel syrup for caramel red colour on chamcham
  10. Now cover the pan and keep boiling it for 30 -35 minutes on low flame
  11. After 35 minutes red | lal chamcham is ready
  12. Take out from hot pan..keep chamcham on a plate .. After cool down the sugar syrup completely ,again transfer the chamcham in syrup .soak it in a cold syrup for 7-8 hours
