Laadi Pav or Pav

Ingredients to make Laadi Pav or Pav

  • All Purpose flour 2 Cups
  • sugar 1 teaspoon
  • Dry active yeast 2 tablespoon
  • oil 3-5 tablespoon
  • salt to taste
  • water/milk (use water if you are using milk powder) 3/4 cup
  • Milk powder 4 tablespoon
  • flour for dusting
  • butter - 4 tablespoon
  • butter for brushing
  • Milk for brushing

How to make Laadi Pav or Pav

  1. Take warm water, add sugar and yeast to it. Stir it and leave for frothing
  2. Add salt, milk powder and oil to flour. Mix well
  3. Add yeast mixture and knead well. If you are you using hand mixture the knead for 10 minutes. With hand knead more till the dough becomes soft.
  4. Add butter while kneading.
  5. Tuck the dough in and put it in the greased bowl for proofing for about 45 minutes.Cover the bowl with cling film.
  6. After 45 minutes the dough will rise to double. Punch a little not too hard.
  7. Divide the dough into 8 equal parts.
  8. Make the balls and place them in a greased tin. Place them little apart to give them space for second proofing..
  9. Now keep the tin aside for again 15-20 minutes for second time proofing.
  10. You will see the pav balls will rise into double.
  11. Now brush these pav with milk.
  12. Bake them for 15-20 minutes in a pre heated oven at 180-200 degree centigrade. You will see the upper crust little golden.
  13. Take the buns out. The will be little hard, brush them with butter.
  14. Have them with your favorite bhaaji or misal.

My Tip:

Knead well till when you press the dough with finger the dough reforms it shape
