Besan Ladoo is popular Indian sweet dish made up of besan, ghee and sugar. They are often served at religious and festivals occasions.

Ingredients Serving: 10

  1. Besan/gram flour/chick flour 2 cups
  2. Ghee 1/2 cup
  3. Cardamon powder/ elaichi powder 1/2 teaspoon
  4. Few strands of Saffron/Kesar
  5. Powdered sugar 3/4 cup
  6. Desiccated coconut 3 tablespoon


  1. Add sugar to jar of blender and blend it to powder and keep aside
  2. Sieve Besan in a bowl and keep aside
  3. Heat 1/2 cup of ghee in a wide non-stick pan
  4. Add Besan to and roast its till light golden brown in colour while stirring it continuously. You will get nice aroma of it also
  5. Remove from heat and add saffron and elaichi powder and mix
  6. Transfer into a plate and let it cool down
  7. Add powdered sugar
  8. Mix until sugar is properly blended with roasted flour.
  9. Divide the mixture into equal portion
  10. Take one portion of the mixture and shape it into a round ladoo.
  11. Roll it in coconut and arrange on the tray.
  12. Arrange them into dish
  13. Store them in an air-tight container.
