Ingredients Serving: 6

  1. Plain flour 400 grams
  2. Fresh yeast 1 1/2 teaspoon
  3. Melted butter 2 tablespoon
  4. Sugar 2 teaspoon
  5. Salt 1 teaspoon
  6. warm milk 3/4 cup
  7. Kalaunji seeds for sprinkle over
  8. Additional butter for brushing

Instructions

  1. Heat milk / water in a pan till lukewarm.
  2. Add sugar and stir briefly to dissolve.
  3. Now add yeast and leave for 15 minutes till yeast is frothy.
  4. Take flour in a large bowl. Make a well and add salt and oil / melted butter to it.
  5. Now add the yeast mixture and knead to a soft dough.
  6. Transfer to an oiled bowl cover with cling film and leave till doubled in bulk with in one hour.
  7. Punch down dough and divide into 6 parts. Round up each part into slightly flattened balls, sprinkle kalaunji seeds on top of each bun. Leave to rise again for 1 hour.
  8. Buns will double in size. Preheat oven 15 minutes before at 180 degree.centigrade. Minutes till well risen and golden.
  9. Brush with extra butter, cover and let cool. Slice in half, toast and use as desire.
