ABOUT Katori Chaat RECIPE

My another signature dish. Crispy katori with a delicious chaat combining varied things and hence presenting you a delicious and Spicy Katori Chaat. Katori and chaat both are edible.

Ingredients Serving: 4

  1. For the Katori - All purpose flour- 1 cup
  2. Lemon syrup - 3 tbsp
  3. Tomato Ketchup - 3 tbsp
  4. Pomegranate - 1/4 cup
  5. Coriander Chutney- 1/4 cup
  6. Boondi namkeen - 1/4 cup
  7. Curd - 1 cup
  8. Green chilli (optional)
  9. Tomato- 1
  10. Cucumber - 1
  11. For the Chaat- 2 Onion
  12. oil to fry
  13. Chilli powder
  14. Salt to taste
  15. Oil- 1 tbsp
  16. Semolina - 1/4 cup
  17. Besan - 1/2 cup
  18. Navratan Namkeen

Instructions

  1. Make a dough using the all purpose flour, besan, semolina, oil, salt and chilli powder and keep aside.
  2. Now chop all the vegetables and mix it with navaratan namkeen and sprinkle 1 tbsp lemon syrup on it after adding salt and chilli.
  3. Take a small steel katori, in the meanwhile take a deep pan and put the oil to fry and let it be heated for at least 5 minutes.
  4. Make a small chapati of the dough and place it on the steel katori and make holes with the help of a fork.
  5. Put the katori along with the steel katori and fry it until it turns golden in colour. The steel katori will get automatically separated.
  6. Fry all the katories and let them cool down a bit.
  7. Sprinkle the lemon syrup and ketchup in katori and fill it with chaat.
  8. Pour the beaten curd on it, green chutney, tomato ketchup, boondi and pomegranate on it.
  9. Serve as it is.
