PINEAPPLE PIE

Ingredients to make PINEAPPLE PIE

  • maida....1/2 kg
  • Icing sugar...225 grams
  • butter...250 grams
  • Milk....75ml
  • FILLING.................
  • Crushed khari biscuit....200 grams
  • Milkmaid....125 grams
  • butter....50 grams
  • Tinned pineapple....125 grams
  • Chopped cashew.... 50 grams
  • Raisin...50 grams
  • Powdered sugar....125 grams
  • salt....25 grams
  • Baking powder....5 grams
  • Milk....2 teaspoon
  • Cake glaze for brushing

How to make PINEAPPLE PIE

  1. 1) Beat butter and icing sugar. Add milk and keep on beating.
  2. 2) Mix maida ,salt and baking powder. Add this to butter mixture. Knead to make a soft dough.
  3. 3) Roll a very thin sheet. Take a pie mould. Put sheet in it and tap. Trim the sides with knife.
  4. 4) Prick with fork do that it doesn't rise while baking.
  5. 5) Bake in a preheated oven at 180 degree for 15 minutes.
  6. 6) For cover roll thin roti and cut it into strips.
  7. 7) For filling take a bowl. Put crushed khari, milkmaid, butter, pineapple, cashew, raisin and sugar. Mix thoroughly.
  8. 8) Take pie out from oven. Put filling in it . Place strips in cris cross manner to cover it. Apply milk with brush.
  9. 9) Bake again for 25 minutes at 180 degree in a preheated oven.
  10. 10) Apply cake glaze on it to give it a glossy look.
  11. Radiant and glossy pie is ready. YUMMY.

My Tip:

Dough should be kept in fridge for 10 minutes if it is loose.
