ABOUT Arbi/Colocasia fries RECIPE

Have this crispy spicy snack at tea time or as an accompaniment with any meal. Crisp from out and soft within.

Ingredients Serving: 2

  1. One arbi root - 250 grams
  2. Chilli powder - 1 1/2 teaspoon
  3. Turmeric - 1/2 teaspoon
  4. Amchoor/ dry Mango powder - 1 teaspoon
  5. Cumin powder - 1/2 teaspoon
  6. Coriander - 2 tablespoon
  7. Salt to taste
  8. Oil for frying
  9. Rava - 2 tablespoon
  10. Cornflour - 3 tbsps

Instructions

  1. Peel, wash and cut thick roundels of the arbi
  2. Marinate with all the masalas alongwith salt for 10 minutes
  3. Mix Rava and cornflour in bowl and keep ready
  4. Heat 2 to 3 tbsp of oil in a pan
  5. Take each arbi roundel and coat in the rava cornflour mixture
  6. Now shallow fry 2 to 3 roundels at a time
  7. Turn once, fry on medium high on both sides.
  8. Drain on tissue
  9. Crispy arbi fries ready.
