About Aloo-palak chole ki sabzi Recipe

A fresh, rustic, homestyle stir fry..best served with crisp tandoori rotis or even on its own.

Aloo-palak chole ki sabzi

Ingredients to make Aloo-palak chole ki sabzi

  • 1/2 cup chickpeas(presoaked and boiled)
  • Fresh coriander to garnish
  • salt to taste
  • 1 tbsp Desi ghee
  • 1/4 tsp jeera
  • 1/2 tsp turmeric
  • 1/4 tsp red chilli Flakes
  • 4 cloves of Garlic(sliced into chips)
  • 1 bunch spinach leaves(washed and sorted)
  • 2 Medium sized potatoes(boiled and cubed)
  • dash of lemon juice

How to make Aloo-palak chole ki sabzi

  1. Heat ghee in a pan and add in the garlic chips, fry till crisp and golden.
  2. Now add in the jeera and let it sputter.
  3. Next tip in the chickpeas, potatoes and the spinach alongwith the salt and turmeric. No need to add water as spinach will release water. Let cook till spinach is tender.
  4. Garnish with fresh coriander, a dash of lemon juice and chilli flakes and serve piping hot.

My Tip:

Use leftover boiled chickpeas or boiled potatoes for this beautiful dish.
