Ingredients to make Stuffed Karela with Spinach Paneer bhurji

  • 250 grm karela
  • For karela preparation,1/4 cup tamarind paste
  • 1/2 tsp termeric powder and some salt
  • For Stuffing,1 bunch of spinach nicely washed and chopped
  • 150 grm paneer
  • 1 onion chopped
  • 4-5 garlic nicely chopoed
  • 1 inch ginger nicely chopped
  • 1 tomato chopped
  • 1 green chilli nicely chopped
  • 1 tsp red chilli powder
  • 1/4 tsp termeric powder
  • 1/2 tsp corriender powder
  • 2 tsp hung curd
  • 2 tsp besan
  • 2 tsp nicely chopped and roasted nuts
  • 2 tsp raisins
  • 2 tsp lemon juice
  • For tempting,1 tsp cumin seeds
  • 1 tsp mustard seeds
  • 7-8 curry leaves
  • salt to taste
  • oil for Cooking
  • Some toasted sesame seeds for sprinkle over it

How to make Stuffed Karela with Spinach Paneer bhurji

  1. Take tamarind paste, termeric powder and salt in a bowl and mix,now take peel and washed karela and rub the paste over it and keep aside it for atleast 2 hours.
  2. For Stuffing,heat oil in pan add chopped onion when translucent add chopped ginger and garlic and saute,after a minute add chopped tomato,green chilli,red chilli, corriender and termeric powder and salt and stir well
  3. add hung curd, chopped spinach and cook for 2 minutes. add roasted besan,mashed paneer, roasted nuts and raisins, mix and cook for minute now switch off gas and finally add lemon juice and mix and left it to cool
  4. Now take tamarind rub karela washed it and blanch it for 2-3 minute,when done remove water, take prepared cool stuffing and fill all the blanched karela
  5. Now again heat oil in pan add cumin seeds, mustard seeds and curry leaves when sluppter add stuffed karela and cook.
  6. Now Stuffed Karela with Spinach Paneer Bhurji is ready to serve.sprinkle toasted sesame seeds over it.
