Mishti doi is a Bengali sweet curd recipe. This recipe is simple, easy and quick. A sweet dessert recipe which kids would like too!

Ingredients Serving: 3

  1. 400 grams sweetened condensed milk
  2. 1 cup plain curd
  3. 1 cup milk
  4. 10 almonds, blanched and slivered
  5. 15 pistachios, blanched and slivered

Instructions

  1. Whisk curd in a bowl.Add condensed milk and whisk again.
  2. Add milk and whisk again till well blended.
  3. Add the almonds, pistachios reserving some and well.
  4. Transfer the mixture into individual bowl.
  5. Cover with aluminum foil.
  6. Place a steamer on high heat and pour in 2 cups water. When the water comes to a boil, place the pots with the milk mixture in the steamer, cover with the lid and steam for 8-10 minutes.
  7. Take it out of the steamer, remove the aluminum foil and set aside to cool down to room temperature. This is mishti doi.
  8. Place the mishti doi in the refrigerator to chill.
  9. Cut and serve chilled.
