Ingredients Serving: 4

  1. 8-10 large green chillies
  2. Ingredients to make batter :-
  3. 1 cup gram flour
  4. 1/4 cup semolina
  5. 1 teaspoon carrom seeds
  6. 1 teaspoon turmeric powder
  7. Salt to taste
  8. Water as needed
  9. For stuffing :-
  10. 4 tablespoon gram flour
  11. 2 tablespoon khatta mittha sev mixture
  12. 1 tablespoon rasins
  13. 1 teaspoon red chilly powder
  14. 1 teaspoon turmeric powder
  15. 1 teaspoon fennel seeds
  16. 1 teaspoon hing
  17. 1.teaspoon garam masala
  18. 1 tablespoon oil
  19. Salt to taste
  20. Oil for frying

Instructions

  1. To prepare stuffing , Dry roast besan or gram flour for 3-5 mins till aroma comes and the color of besan slightly changes. Then allow it to cool down
  2. Now add red chilly powder ,turmeric powder , fennel seeds ,hing , salt , garam masala and sev mixture and mix well
  3. Now add rasins and 1 tablespoon oil in the dry roasted mixture and mix well our stuffing of bharela mirchi is ready
  4. Now wash and wipe the green chillies and give a slit lengthwise from center as such if you fill the filling should not come out
  5. Remove the seeds if there is any , our chillies are ready to stuff now
  6. Stuff the chillies with prepare stuffing and keep aside
  7. Now in wok heat oil for frying , meanwhile make a thick batter with gramflour , semolina , carrom seeds , turmeric powder and salt by adding little water
  8. Dip the stuffed chillies in batter to coat it nicely
  9. Deep fry the coated chillies in hot oil and fry till crisp or golden brown
  10. Take it out on the kitchen towel to absorb excess oil
  11. Our delicious bharela mirchi is ready to serve , give it with any chutney or sauce
