ABOUT Falafel (Chickpea Fritters) RECIPE

It's an international dish that has become a popular snack in India nowadays.

Ingredients Serving: 6

  1. 250 grams chickpeas
  2. 1 medium-size onion
  3. 4 garlic cloves
  4. 1 inch ginger
  5. 2 green chillies
  6. 1 teaspoon salt
  7. 1/2 teaspoon pepper powder
  8. Coriander leaves
  9. Oil for frying

Instructions

  1. Soak chickpeas overnight.
  2. Grind coarsely along with ginger, garlic and green chillies.
  3. Add finely chopped onion and coriander leaves to the mixture.
  4. Add salt and pepper powder as well. Mix well.
  5. Give it the desired shape.
  6. Deep fry till golden.
  7. Serve hot with hummus.
