Chicken Manchurian

Ingredients to make Chicken Manchurian

  • Ground/Minced chicken 500 gm
  • 1 egg
  • salt to taste
  • red chilli flakes to taste (optional)
  • 2 tbsp chopped garlic
  • 1 tsp black pepper powder
  • 1 tsp cornflour
  • 4 tbsp green chillies 2-3 (slit)
  • 4 tbsp spring onions with greens
  • 1 tsp ginger Chopped
  • oil as required to cook and deep fry
  • 1 medium sized onion, sliced
  • 2 cups of chicken stock
  • 2 tsp soya sauce
  • 2 tsp chilli sauce
  • 2 tsp vinegar

How to make Chicken Manchurian

  1. In a bowl add chicken, egg, salt, 1 tsp of garlic and pepper, then add 3 tbsp of cornflour and mix properly. Heat oil in a wok and deep fry these manchurian balls. Drain these balls on a paper towel.
  2. Heat a wok, add oil, then put in the garlic, ginger, green chillies and saute till the raw aroma goes off. Then add the spring onions, chopped onions, cook these till it turns pink in colour. Add very little salt, then pour in the chicken stock and sauces, Next, add in the cornflour mixture.
  3. Now add the Manchurian balls and mix it properly. Check the seasoning. Garnish with spring onion greens and red chilli flakes.
  4. Serve warm with Fried rice or Noodles.

My Tip:

Add green bell peppers to enhance the taste. Increase or decrease the sauce quantity as per your own taste buds.
