Rose Samosa

Ingredients to make Rose Samosa

  • For the dough :all purpose flour- 1 nd 1/2 bowl
  • 2 tbsn oil
  • salt to taste
  • Caromseeds 1/8 tsp
  • Red food nd green food colour Drops
  • For filling:- Boiled & mashed potatoes -5-6
  • oil 2 tbsn
  • salt to taste
  • cumin seeds 1/8 tspn
  • Amchur or mango powder 1/2 tsp
  • Turmaric powder 1/8 tspn
  • Garam masala- 1/2 tsp
  • asafoetida a pinch
  • Red chilli pwd-1/2 tspn
  • ginger -garlic and green chilli paste 1/2 tspn

How to make Rose Samosa

  1. In a mixing bowl add 1 bowl of all purpose flour, carom seeds, salt, oil,red food colour knead a tight dough with water and keep aside.
  2. Heat 1 tbsn of oil in a pan, add asafoetida, cumin seeds and splutter them. Add green chilly ginger garlic paste and saute them for a minute.Add boiled and mashed potato, Red chilly powder, Salt, mango powder, turmeric powder, garam masala and Saute them for a minute and switch off the flame and let it cool.
  3. Make equal size peda with dough and roll them with rolling pin and make 4 small size pooris.
  4. Place the potato masala. Now close the poories from the edges,
  5. Now roll it Rose shape is ready
  6. Heat oil in a pan and deep fry the rose samosa till brown n crisp.
  7. In 1/2 part of All purpose flour,salt,oil,carom seeds and add green food colour,add some water make a dough
  8. Take small portion of dough roll it cut in leaf shape and Deep fry this leaves.
  9. Arrange Rose samosa in serving platter Serve with ketchup or chutney
