ABOUT Minty chicken Fry RECIPE

Chicken fry is an universal favourite with everyone. So try out these yummy Chicken Fry with some mint flavour. They are perfect as appetizers / snacks and relish them with some hung yoghurt dip with kasundi / mustard paste.

Ingredients Serving: 4

  1. 10-12 chicken pieces on bones
  2. handful of coriander & mint leaves
  3. 1-2 green chilies
  4. 1-2 garlic cloves
  5. 1/2 tsp. garam masala powder
  6. 1/2 tsp. roasted cumin powder
  7. 1 tsp. red chili flakes
  8. 1/4 tsp. baking soda
  9. 2 tbsp. roasted chickpea flour / besan (gram flour)
  10. salt to taste
  11. 2 tbsp. rice flour
  12. 1 egg beaten
  13. 1 tbsp. lime juice
  14. oil to deep fry

Instructions

  1. Make a paste with coriander leaves, mint leaves, garlic, green chilies and a pinch of salt. Rub this paste over the chicken, followed by rest of the ingredients (except oil).
  2. Add water if required. Set aside for 5-10 minutes. Heat oil in a pan and drop these chicken pieces gently, few at a time.
  3. Fry till light golden in colour on all sides on a low flame. Drain on a tissue paper and serve them hot with spiced yoghurt.
