These beetroot sticks are a healthy choice as appetizers.

Ingredients Serving: 4

  1. Beet root- 1
  2. Gram flour- 1cup
  3. Corn flour- 1tbsp
  4. Water- 3/4 th cup
  5. Ginger garlic paste- 1tsp
  6. Chilli powder- to taste
  7. Salt- to taste
  8. Baking soda- a pinch
  9. Oil- to deep fry

Instructions

  1. Peel the skin of beet root and cut length wise as thick rectangles.
  2. In a bowl, add seived gram flour, corn flour, salt, chilli powder, ginger garlic paste, baking soda , water and mix well into a smooth batter.
  3. Heat oil in a wok and dip beet root rectangles into batter and deep fry till it gets golden brown colour.
  4. Serve hot with ketchup.
